IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Laios Touden
Species: Tallman (human)
Canon: Dungeon Meshi / Delicious in Dungeon
Canon Point: Manga volume 8, chapter 52
Character Age: 26
CRAU: No
CRAU Explanation: N/A
Character Appearance: here he be
Powers and Abilities: Laios has no innate supernatural abilities, but he's a pretty skilled fighter with a sword, and good at thinking on his feet. He's started learning magic from Marcille, but hasn't really mastered it enough to do it on his own without making himself sick. He's good at drawing monsters, and does a really good impression of a barking dog.
What Did Your Character Wish For? To be able to save Falin, make her human again, and bring her home safely.
What Potion Did They Receive? Gold. He will think that he's going to turn into a fierce wolf, but really he's just going to turn into a fluffy malamute dog.
Did They Drink It? Are you kidding? He downed it right the fuck away.

Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
The answer to both of these questions is his sister Falin. Laios struggles to form close relationships with people, as he has trouble reading social cues or paying attention to details when it comes to other people and their interests. But he and Falin have been attached at the hip since they were children, and Falin also operated very similarly to Laios, although she was a bit better at making friends. Falin is the one person who understands Laios' blunt demeanor and way of speaking, and often served as a buffer between him and the rest of the party.

2. What are they most afraid of?
Laios' biggest fear is practical, rather than emotional. He's not afraid of monsters (although he does have a healthy respect for the danger they pose), nor is he afraid of anything existential like loneliness or betrayal. Really, Laios' biggest fear is dying of starvation. Food is extremely important to Laios, as it is what sustains living beings and keeps them alive. Food and eating are incredibly important to Laios' world view, both practically and socially. One of his greatest regrets is leaving home as a teenager and leaving Falin behind to eat alone.

3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Laios' biggest emotional weakness is his inability to read other peoples' emotions and social cues. He doesn't realize when someone is only being polite and feigning interest in what he has to say, and it can lead both to people developing resentment against him, and also people potentially being able to manipulate him.

Mentally, Laios' weakness is a lack of detailed observation. Again, this is mostly in regards to other people. Laios' observations when it comes to monsters and their behavior can and has saved his friends lives time and time again. But when a shapeshifter made multiple copies of everyone in the party, it came down to Laios to tell who were the real Marcille, Senshi, and Chilchuck, and who were shapeshifted illusions. No one in the party had faith in Laios' ability to remember enough details about them to tell who was real and who was fake, and they were right to doubt him, because he had no idea.

Laios' physicality is his strongest suit, but his biggest physical weakness is that he can push himself and his body too far. This happens both when he fights the red dragon and loses his leg (though Marcille later reattached it), and also when Marcille is teaching him magic and he works himself so hard that he induces mana sickness in himself.

4. What would make them happiest?
To live out the rest of his days exploring the dungeon with Falin at his side. Laios has no dreams or desires to settle down or find a lover, and really just wants to explore, to meet new creatures, and, yes, to know what every monster tastes like. He would be happiest just being able to do that forever. He wants his loved ones to be safe, provided for, and happy, and for everyone to have enough to eat.

5. What’s their type for a lover?
As stated above, Laios isn't really interested in romance or sex. I don't know that he's fully asexual or aromantic, but it's just not a priority for him. He had been engaged previously, but the engagement was annulled. He's conscious of what physical attributes are generally considered attractive by most other tallmen, so we know he's not completely oblivious. But when the succubus cornered him, it came to him as a half-monster Marcille with her hair down and loose, promising that she can turn him into a monster.
